Malta and Hudson Valley are planning a 13.5 million dollar traning center in Saratoga county to get workers ready for the energy business sectors. It will be built on a 280 acre space in malta. Thursday Joseph Bruno annouced that the tech park is starting its new building. The tech park is located across from luthers forest. TEC-SMART is planning to train around 1,500 workers which will open around 2012. Bruno said that the key to attracting manufactorers is to insure that the area has a trained area.
Hudson Valley already has a has a semiconductor manufacturing degree program. In addition to semiconductor and photovoltaic training, the center will also train students in alternative fuels and geothermal and wind energy systems.
